The ANR was designed and constructed by Advanced Airship Corporation Ltd. of Jurby, Isle of Man, during 1987-90. This was a 200 ft length non-rigid with a 30 seat aluminium alloy gondola. Twin Allison 250B17C engines were mounted on a vectoring aluminium alloy wing. The company intended to use this aircraft for passenger ferry operations across UK. Efforts towards CAA airworthiness certification were thwarted by a UK recession in 1991.
